Before you begin
- An active Event Stream account with access to the area described in this guide.
Connect the primary stream
- 1Save the event first and open its detail page.
- 2In Stream, choose YouTube, Vimeo, or Custom embed.
- 3Paste the supported video or embed URL and enter an optional internal title.
- 4Set the live indicator when appropriate and save.
- 5Use a test viewer account to confirm playback under the intended privacy and schedule settings.
Provider guidance
- YouTube: use an embeddable video or live stream and verify embedding is allowed.
- Vimeo: review domain and privacy restrictions before testing.
- Custom embed: use only an approved HTTPS iframe source.
- Event Stream reduces visible provider controls where supported, but technical users may still extract an external embed URL.
Security boundaries
Event Stream controls event eligibility and session creation around the player. It is not DRM and does not claim to make a third-party stream URL impossible to discover.
Important: Never paste arbitrary scripts or a full iframe tag. Use the supported URL field and test in the viewer page.
Expected result
The external stream plays inside the viewer event page only after Event Stream access checks succeed.
