Analytics
Analytics metrics
Use consistent definitions for registered, watched, watch percentage, active viewer, and duration.
Last updated July 20, 2026
Before you begin
- An active Event Stream account with access to the area described in this guide.
Definitions
- Registered: profiles whose event registration status is Registered.
- Watched: distinct profiles with at least one viewer session for the event.
- Watch percentage: unique viewers divided by registered users; shown only when a meaningful registered denominator exists.
- Watch session: one tracked opening of the viewer player after access checks.
- Duration: seconds accumulated while the session remains active and sends heartbeats.
- Active viewer: an active session seen within the 120-second window.
Heartbeat timing
The viewer sends a heartbeat every 60 seconds. The 120-second active window reduces false inactive states caused by ordinary network delays.
Analytics is not attendance
Important: Do not use registration, player opens, or heartbeats as a formal attendance, payroll, certification, or compliance record.
Expected result
Reports use the same definitions across dashboard, event analytics, sessions, and exports.
