01
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when organizations, administrators, viewers, and website visitors use Event Stream.
02
Scope
This policy applies to the Event Stream website, organization workspaces, viewer portal, event registration, support conversations, and demo requests. An organization may provide additional privacy information for events it manages.
03
Information you provide
We receive information submitted through account setup, event registration, audience imports, organization settings, forms, and support communications.
04
Account information
Account information may include name, email address, login identifier, phone number, role, account status, and authentication-related timestamps. Passwords are managed by the authentication service and are not stored in Event Stream profile records.
05
Organization and viewer information
Organizations manage viewer profiles, groups, event assignments, roles, branding, and access settings. Organization administrators are responsible for the information they add and the audiences they invite.
06
Event registration data
Registration records may include the event, viewer, registration status, registration time, cancellation time, and waitlist state. Registration records indicate event eligibility and are not attendance records.
07
Viewer activity and session data
When a viewer opens an event, Event Stream may record session start, last activity, duration, active state, device information, and basic player events. This supports access controls, concurrent-session rules, and engagement reporting.
08
Device and browser information
Technical information may include browser type, device category, IP-derived region when enabled, timestamps, and request information needed to secure and operate the service.
09
Communications and support enquiries
We process names, contact details, organization information, and message content when someone contacts the team for sales, support, security, or general enquiries.
10
Demo-request information
Demo requests may include work contact details, organization name, expected audience size, primary use case, phone number, and rollout questions.
11
How information is used
Information is used to provide accounts and event access, operate viewer experiences, enforce access policies, support organizations, respond to enquiries, improve reliability, and produce organization-scoped reports.
12
Event access and security
Identity, organization membership, assignments, registration, schedules, and session policies may be evaluated before event access is granted. Security logs may be reviewed to prevent misuse and diagnose incidents.
13
Analytics
Event Stream reports registrations, unique viewers, sessions, watch duration, and active-viewer signals. These measurements describe product engagement and should not be treated as formal attendance certification.
14
Service providers
Specialist providers may support hosting, authentication, data processing, image delivery, and email delivery. They receive only the information needed to perform their services under their own terms and safeguards.
15
Stream providers
Event Stream does not store the underlying video file. Embedded streams may be delivered by YouTube, Vimeo, or another provider configured by the organization. Those providers may process viewer information under their own privacy terms.
17
Data retention
Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, support an organization, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Retention varies by record type and organization instructions.
18
Security practices
Administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards are used to reduce unauthorized access, alteration, or loss. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
20
International data handling
Service providers and users may operate in different countries. Information may therefore be processed outside the user's location, subject to applicable contractual and legal safeguards.
21
User and organization rights
Depending on location and the organization's role, individuals may request access, correction, restriction, export, or deletion through their organization or the Event Stream contact channel. Requests are assessed under applicable law and operational obligations.
22
Children's privacy
Event Stream is intended for organizations managing private events and is not directed to children. Organizations must ensure they have an appropriate basis before adding information about minors.
23
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The last updated date will identify the current version.
24
Contact information
Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through the Event Stream contact form. Include your organization and enough detail for the request to be routed correctly.
