Before you begin
- An active Event Stream account with access to the area described in this guide.
Three related controls
- Single device only: one active device or browser session for a viewer.
- Concurrent session limit: maximum active sessions for that viewer on the event.
- Concurrent viewer plan limit: maximum active sessions across the organization.
When a session is active
The viewer page sends a heartbeat every 60 seconds. Operational views treat a session as active when its last heartbeat is within 120 seconds, allowing for normal network delay.
Note: Closing a page sends a best-effort session close, but the active window also handles interrupted browsers and networks.
Expected result
Device and concurrency messages can be interpreted without confusing per-viewer and organization-wide limits.
